Whistling arrow heads have been around for a very long time in various forms and made from different materials, from different regions and across time. Some of the most famous examples come from the regions that are now modern China and Mongolia.
They are still a firm favorite in public displays of archery as a whistling arrow heads makes for a great crowed pullers at events, with a loud high pitch sound which is especially effective when shot as a volley. Best practice is to clean the shank out and stick them on with your favored glue.
