Description
This Rod Saw makes cutting self nocks far easier than other hand methods with or without the ‘self nocking tool’. Roughing out on plenty more projects besides is no problem, the blades can cut brick, tile and soft metals, so wood and horn present no problem. It has a strong steel frame and is fitted with a generous sized comfortable soft grip handle. The 150 mm long circular shaped Tungsten Carbide coated blade allows cuts of 3 mm.

This is much better than any other hand saw that I tried to use for self-nocking. The cuts are clean and it’s very easy to keep the cut square. The width of a cut is perfect for a 10-12 strand string. Highly recommended.
The blades are easily replaced and the slot they make can easily be widened for thicker strings with a file and sand paper for a snug fit.
