Making anything from scratch by hand in archery requires a certain passion, time and tools. The hand craft inclined bowman must have an understanding of the raw materials and an idea in mind, especially when in comes to making ‘primitive archery’ equipment – sinew, bees wax, pinions, bone, antler, buffalo and ox horn can all be used.
