‘Garb’ or Arrow Sheaf pewter badge shows a bundle of arrows, their fletchings ears of wheat held by a knotted belt.
This may well be another symbol of the martyrdom of St. Edmund (also known as Edmund the Martyr), the many arrows depicting those that were shot into him by the Danes before being beheaded. During the Middle Ages Edmund was regarded as the patron saint of England.
The Arrow Sheaf pewter badge is a historical replica and we are proud to say, hand crafted in small batches here in the UK. Using the finest grade of English Pewter to give the detailed clarity of design and great quality of finish.
